We manufacture and sell our products directly to you - the user; thus eliminating the service problems associated with a "middle man" distributor. Our shipments arrive directly in your laboratory, usually on an "overnight" basis.

Same day shipping

Our goal is to send your order out on the same day that you place it; so that it will arrive in your lab the next morning. Please refer to our shipping chart to find out when orders need to be placed.

Technical assistance

We are here to offer expert help in any way possible. Licensed Medical Technologists and microbiologists are available on our staff for assistance. You'll also get answers to your questons in our software program, HUGO™ (Hardy User Group Observer), which includes technical information on all of our manufactured products, and is available to all Hardy customers. HUGO™ also contains a wealth of information on products and procedures regarding the practice of microbiology. You can instantly access over 4,500 pages of technical information at your own computer! HUGO™ is written in the recommended CLSI format to facilitate inclusion in your own procedure manuals.

As a "one stop shop" Hardy Diagnostics offers over 12,000 laboratory products and is an authorized distributor for over 75 other fine diagnostic manufacturers. Among them are MicroBioLogics, Meridian, Anaerobe Systems, Oxoid, Quantimetrix, American Proficiency Institute, Wampole, Denka Seiken, Hygiena, Binax, BioRad, and Quidel. This means added convenience and cost-effective buying when other items are added to your media order. When it comes to microbiology - Hardy has it! Besides prepared media, we offer our own brand of powdered media known as "CRITERION™". We also offer a complete selection of sensitivity disks, "HardyDisks™ AST".

Shelf life guarantee

You get longer dating with Hardy. We guarantee at least one month of shelf life on most products. If product is received with less than one month dating, we will either replace the item or issue credit for what cannot be used. Please contact Customer Service to make arrangements. Our customers find our shelf life to be longer, since it does not sit on the shelf of a distributor's warehouse.

Independent manufacturer

We obtain our powdered media ingredients from a variety of sources in order to provide you with media that produces optimal growth characteristics. Our QC lab continually performs comparison studies on different powdered media sources to produce the best results possible. Certified to ISO 13485 and as an FDA licensed cGMP facility, you can trust every product that Hardy manufactures.

Sheep blood

Our sheep blood comes from a controlled herd of healthy and antibiotic-free animals kept solely for our use. These animals are maintained on a veterinary supervised program to ensure the highest quality of blood. Other companies often use inferior animal blood from slaughter houses, which is likely to contain unwanted antibiotics, and is prone to spontaneous hemolysis.

Inventory control form

As an additional free service, we offer a customized order form for your lab. This can be copied and used to take inventory of your media and to prepare your order. It can then be used to phone or FAX your order to Hardy Diagnostics. This form will be stored in our computer, so changes can be made at any time. Alternatively, you can order online 24/7.

In addition we offer Excel spreadsheets that contain all 12,000 of our products with your pricing. These services are available to you upon request. Contact your account manager.

Usage report

We also offer free customer "usage reports" at any time. These reports, provided upon request, tally all your products ordered within any given time.

Quality control program

All of the products manufactured by Hardy Diagnostics are tested to the highest standards for quality and performance. A "Quality Control Voucher" is included with every shipment. This voucher states each product's lot number and expiration date. It also includes a statement of compliance with CLSI guidelines. No writing, no copying, no transferring of lot numbers or stickers are required! For our industrial customers, we offer on-line "Certificates of Analysis". Educational seminars

Hardy Diagnostics is an accredited provider of continuing education in the State of California. Seminars and workshops on current laboratory topics are provided at various locations throughout the year.
