Benefits Summary

Hardy Diagnostics is 100 % owned by the employees through our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Other key aspects of our benefits package are the Profit Sharing Program and Open- Book Management philosophy. All of these programs are intended to inform and reward employees who practice continuous improvement and exhibit a strong work ethic in order to make our company successful.

The following is a summary of some of the benefits currently offered to the co-workers of Hardy Diagnostics:

  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan – The ESOP allows eligible employees to share in the prosperity of the company by providing an opportunity to own stock and accumulate capital for their retirement needs. Vesting schedule applies. (Must work more than 1,000 hours during plan year to be eligible.)
  • Profit Sharing – Paid quarterly based on company’s profitability. Begins after six months of employment.  (FT, PT)
  • 401(k) Savings Plan – Company matches 10% of employee’s contribution, up to 8% of income.  Available for both full and part time employees after six months of employment.  Vesting schedule applies. (FT, PT)
  • Health Insurance* – Base, Choice, and HSA plans.  Employee’s portion as low as $125 per month (27% of actual cost).  Base plan office visits are $30.  (FT)
  • Health Savings Account* – HSA accounts are company sponsored and used in alignment with the HSA medical plan. Company will match up to $500 per benefit year.  (FT)
  • Dental Insurance* – Employee’s portion as low as $28.20 per month.  Preventive care is free. (FT)
  • Dental Reimbursement Plan* – Up to $150 reimbursed per family per year, regardless of whether or not they elect dental insurance. (FT)
  • Vision Insurance* – Employee’s portion as low as $6.64 per month.  Preventive care is free. (FT)
  • Flexible Spending Account* “FSA” to eliminate income taxes for out-of-pocket health and child care expenses. (FT)
  • Colonial Life Voluntary Insurance* – Disability, Accident, Cancer, and Hospital Confinement Insurances are offered to help offset unexpected medical expenses and provide a portion of your income when dealing with one of these scenarios. (FT)
  • Life Insurance & Supplemental Life* – One year’s salary is provided at no cost to the employee.  Additional life insurance may be purchased at a low cost.  Employees may buy up to five times their salary of additional coverage and up to $100k with no medical questions asked. (FT)
  • Long-term Disability* – Pays 60% of annual salary, up to $10,000 per month, at no cost to employee. (FT)
  • Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance* – Life insurance is doubled for accidental death at no cost to the employee. Employees may buy additional coverage.  (FT)
  • Paid Vacation Time* – Accrue one week during the first year, two weeks during the second and third years, and three weeks during the fourth year. (FT)
  • Paid Sick Leave* – Thirty-two hours available each year for full time employees, twenty-four hours for part time. Unused sick hours are cashed out at 80% at the end of the year for non-exempt employees. (FT, PT)
  • Paid Bereavement Leave* – One day paid for bereavement of family member. (FT)
  • Holidays* – Seven paid holidays annually, including Black Friday. (FT)
  • Wellness Bonus Program – Wellness points for healthy practices and activities converted into cash bonus every 6 months. (FT, PT)
  • Education Assistance – Bonus money is paid for the successful completion of classes that are job related.  (FT, PT)
  • LEAN Awards Program – Over $3,000 is awarded annually to employees that implement change for the better. (FT, PT)
  • Employee Assistance Program – A company chaplain is retained to offer free and confidential counseling services at any time when there is a need. (FT, PT)
  • Investment Tools – Free retirement planning and investment tools from Fidelity in conjunction with our 401(k) savings program. Fee-based advice also available.  (FT, PT)
