Manufacturing Technician (Plates) - California

We have an immediate opening for an entry level Production Technician (5:00 AM - 1:30 PM).

The Plate Production Technician's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with preparation, setup, and production of quality culture media as well as cleaning of the production area and equipment. We will train a quality oriented, motivated self-starter with the ability to read and diligently follow verbal and written documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, batch records, and procedure manuals. Some knowledge of science is helpful. Must be able to push or pull 50lbs, climb a ladder, and stand throughout the entire shift (excluding breaks). A high school diploma or GED is required.

Moxie Café Prep Cook (part time) - California

The Moxie Cafe Prep Cook is required to accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and other hot food products as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking.

The Prep Cook is also required to assist line cooks with rush periods. A minimum of one year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking is required. At least six months of experience in a similar position to Moxie Cafe Prep Cook is also required. Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and kitchen and dining room staff. Distribution Clerk (part time) – California

The California Distribution Center Clerk's responsibilities include accurately pulling and packing orders for shipment as well as various other warehouse duties. Moxie Café Busser (part time) – California

The Moxie Cafe Busser/Dishwasher is required to assist in the delivery of food and remove used tableware between courses; clear and reset tables after guests leave; maintain common use areas including but not limited to beverage stations, trash stations, restrooms, etc.

The Busser/Dishwasher is also required to wash and clean tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment as well as keep the dish area, kitchen, and equipment clean and organized. Must be able to work in hot, humid, and loud environment for long periods of time. R&D Summer Microbiology Internship – California

The Research and Development intern is part of Hardy Diagnostics’ Design and Development team and is mainly responsible for helping the R&D team carry out assigned research projects. Other microbiology or science-related projects may be assigned.

Good microbiology and laboratory skills are essential. Completed course in Medical Microbiology preferred. Juniors and seniors preferred. This position is intended for students working towards or about to obtain a bachelors degree. Strong preference will first be given to candidates working towards a degree in Microbiology or Biochemistry and then to candidates with other degrees in the life sciences.

Industrial Technology Summer Internship - California

The Industrial Technology Summer Intern will work with a cross-functional team to bring Hardy Diagnostics' MSDSs and product labels into compliance with the new GHS standards.

This position is intended for students working toward or about to obtain a bachelors degree. Strong preference will first be given to candidates working towards a degree in Industrial Technology and then to candidates with other similar degrees (e.g., Industrial Engineering). Minimum requirements include the ability to read and understand chemical classification criteria and make appropriate analysis of mixtures of chemicals as well as the ability to follow detailed instructions and write technical documents. Successful completion of at least one college-level chemistry class is required.

QA/QC Technician – Ohio

The QA / QC Technician’s responsibilities include calibration, validation, equipment qualification, environmental monitoring, CAPAs, supporting non-financial audits as well as some initial QC testing (sterility, pH, fill, etc.).

This position is also responsible for creating and revising company procedures, protocols, and policies in compliance with regulatory requirements for medical devices. The position requires working flexible hours including some weekend work to support manufacturing operations. A bachelor's degree in microbiology is strongly preferred. Excellent math skills, including a working knowledge of the metric system, are required as are strong skills in MS Word and Excel. Knowledge of ISO 9000, ISO 13485, 21 CFR820, environmental monitoring, calibration, and validation are also preferred.
