USP Harmonization Culture Media

The United States Pharmacopeia Convention published a revised Chapter 61 and introduced a new Chapter 62 that covers the Microbiological Examination of Non-sterile products. These chapters will come effective in May 2009, and are harmonized with the European Pharmacopeia and the Japanese Pharmacopeia. Hardy Diagnostics has reviewed and revised, the labeling, formulations and performance testing for the culture media that are specified in these new chapters.
