Designed for the generation of a carbon dioxide-rich atmosphere within a gas jar. The paper sachet contains ascorbic acid which reacts on contact with air to produce a level of approximately 6% carbon dioxide within a 2.5 litre gas jar such as the Oxoid AnaeroJar (AG025A). The final concentration of oxygen is 15%.
