The GramPRO 3™ is an innovative, fully automated, triple slide Gram staining instrument with the ability for individual or batched staining.

Random Access Processing

As its name indicates, the GramPRO 3™ can stain up to three slides, using the individual staining mode or the batch staining mode, which expedites results, leading to quicker turnaround times.

Sensor Driven Decolorization

Why mess with stainers that over or under decolorize? Your new GramPro 3™ solves this problem with a patented electric eye which automatically regulates the decolorization process according to the smear thickness.

No Tech-to-Tech Variation

Fully Automated methanol fixation, crystal violate staining, gram's iodine fixing, decolorization, and safranin counter staining all take place automatically within the cuvettes.

When a microbiologist performs a Gram stain by hand, they are assessing the color picked up by the decolorizer as it runs off the slide.

The electric eye in the GramPRO 3™ does the same thing in a slightly different way, assessing how purple the decolorizer is by how much yellow light it absorbs.

Unlike other systems that require hours of technician time to preform maintenance and cleaning, the GramPRO 3™ requires only ten minutes of actual technician time per instrument, per week! There is no more guess work when maintenance is needed, as the GramPRO 3™ offers reminder prompts. If a user wants to defer the maintenance process to another time, the GramPRO 3™ makes this easy to do with a simple push of a button.

Easy to Use Menu Navigation*

We built the menu navigation to be simple, straight-forward and easy-to-use. The GramPRO 3™ display is not a touch screen, but rather uses a toggle function. The display was purposefully built for technicians wearing gloves, eliminating the frustration that comes with covered fingers and touch screens.
