A highly selective growth medium which maintains viable cultures by supporting the growth of trichomonads over an extended period of time. The pouch is constructed of clear plastic film to create a culture vessel that has excellent water vapor and oxygen barrier qualities. The resulting reduced-oxygen environment enhances and maintains the desired growth characteristics of the medium. The InPouch live culture kits have been found to produce reliable results, have fewer problems with contaminating microorganisms, and have significant advantages in saving time by reducing the need for daily sub-culturing.
