COLOREX™ Listeria and COLOREX™ ID Listeria, traditionally used in tandem, isolate and chromogenically differentiate colonies confirming the presence of Listeria monocytogenes with prepared plated culture media. When used together, COLOREX™ Listeria provides initial differentiation and presumptive identification, while COLOREX™ ID Listeria provides confirmation of suspect L. monocytogenes colonies re-plated from COLOREX™ Listeria. Together they make preliminary detection and confirmation easy by producing distinct chromogenic differences with typical identifying characteristics, both macro and microscopically, within as little as 18-24 hours. Both devices inhibit the growth of mold, fungi, and other bacteria including E. coli and E. faecalis.
