Dear Hardy Diagnostics Customer,
|
Thank you for your loyalty to Hardy Diagnostics. As part of our continuous improvement efforts, we have made strategic investments to enhance our irradiated plate line manufactured at our Springboro, OH facility. The implementation of these changes is planned to be fully implemented by October 1, 2025. |
What to expect from the improvement activities: |
- New part numbers will replace current part numbers. See Table 1 for a change matrix. Current part numbers will be discontinued. Note: price agreements are being updated to include the new part numbers. Your active pricing will remain valid through current price agreements.
- Plate packaging is optimized for automation.
- The first wrap is a breathable film, eliminating the need for a desiccant.
- Sterile sample bags are no longer included. They can be purchased separately (Part no. BAS381BX).
- All wraps use transparent (clear) packaging films.
- Labeling consists of a single irradiation indicator label on the inner wrap.
- Plates are triple wrapped prior to irradiation, which includes a removable outer wrap. Follow your internal procedures for cleanroom use. Remove the outer wrap prior to cleanroom entry.
- Plate media fill is optimized for automation and compatible with continuous monitoring activities.*
- Product changes have passed internal product validation studies and are deemed equivalent to existing part numbers.
|
For more details on these changes, along with features and benefits, please see Table 2 and the product illustrations below. We are confident these changes will improve product quality. Based on the nature of the change, this is classified as a major change. Please update your documentation accordingly. |
