Sealing tape specifically designed for the special requirements of Petri dishes, microtiter plates, and culture plates and their corresponding lids. The unique elastomeric characteristics allow the tape to stretch and conform around the irregular perimeters of these vessels to form a tight seal. The seal will block water vapor loss, reduce the rate of gas exchange, and prevent the entry of contaminants. Waterproof and chemically resistant to most organic solvents and caustic agents. The seal remains flexible down to –30° C and withstand continuous exposure from –40°C to +77°C (with intermittent exposure up to 100°C). Heavy 5mil (0.005in.) thick tape is durable and resists abrasion and puncture.
