MacConkey Agar is for the selective and differential isolation of Gram-negative bacteria, especially the Enterobacteriaceae. Advanced formula controls the swarming of Proteus.

Section II:
Blood Agar is a general non-selective growth medium for bacteria, yeast, and fungi and also contains 5% sheep blood from a veterinary supervised, controlled herd of donor animals. Blood is guaranteed to be from healthy antibiotic-free animals.
